DEMI and her five kittens were rescued from the mean streets of NYC. Now all of the kittens have been adopted, but DEMI is still looking for a loving home.

CLANCY was rescued living outdoors, presumably abandoned. He loves indoor life and is quite a play cat and very affectionate. He sleeps on the bed at his foster home and eagerly sits and waits for each meal. He loves every cat he's ever met. He wants to play with and nuzzle every cat. He can be shy with new people but quickly warms up after introductions are made. He'd be a fun and model addition to any cat household. He should not be an only cat. GINGER was one of the cats that Urban Cat League took her from death row at the Animal Care and Control where she had been delivered by JFK Airport exterminators.
Sadly, she had clearly been nursing kittens which had been left behind at the airport. GINGER lives comfortably indoors among other cats but after one year she is still painfully shy around people. She's slowly becoming more relaxed as she replaces her earlier traumatic memories with better experiences around humans. With a concerted effort to gain her confidence, an experience cat person could slowly win her over. That said GINGER will most likely never be a “lap cat.” She’s a petite Golden haired beauty with white paws and markings. GINGER is very pretty to look at but she doesn’t seem to get enjoyment from being around other cats or enjoy tenderness from humans at this point. If you have a place where GINGER might find a confident peaceful life, we’re sure she’d settle in with time. For more info about Ginger please contact Mike at mphil22@gmail.com
CICI was living on the street with her 4 tiny kittens when an Urban Cat League volunteer spotted her running across a parking lot near the High Line. CICI was such a capable street mom that we had to enlist the fire department to reach the kittens she had hidden so securely under a two ton iron grating. CICI is a very quiet and timid cat. She loves to be brushed and petted by volunteers that she knows but can take time to trust a new person in her life. She does NOT like to be picked up and held but will sit beside you to be petted. She is currently in a foster home where she displays perfect litterbox manners and gets along with all of the other cats. Because of her timid nature, the bullies love to chase her but she takes it in stride with no retaliation. CICI would do well alone or as a second cat. She's a round faced 7 year old Classic Tabby.
